Resource Inventories

Resource managers need spatially accurate and detailed inventories that specify the kind, amount, and distribution of both timber and non-timber resources across the landscape.

Timberline has provided expertise in forest, vegetation, ecological, and wildlife habitat inventories to government and industry for nearly four decades across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, the Yukon, and Northwest Territories. We employ a large complement of professionals and technicians who have a broad range of skills in inventory data capture and analysis, and we have the capacity to undertake any forest resource inventory project regardless of size. Our focus is on continual process improvement to provide inventory and analysis products that are reliable, economical, and timely. Our areas of specialization include Forest and Vegetation, Ecological, and Visual Landscape Inventories.

Client Testimonial - Community Forest Inventory Project

In 2006 Timberline was the successful contractor on an integrated vegetation resource inventory and predictive ecosystem mapping project for our Community Forest.  The total area of the project, which was successfully completed in 2007, covered about 40,000 hectares.

"Timberline's proposal was attractive on a number of fronts (including price) but one of the most important factors was that they provide "one-stop shopping" for what we were looking for.

We found the Timberline folks to be helpful and prepared to innovate to meet our needs while adhering to required standards."
